The Peugeot iOn is a rear-wheel drive vehicle in which the electric motor and single-ratio reduction gearbox are installed in front of the rear suspension. The Peugeot iOn is equipped with a new-generation Lithium-ion battery with an energy storage capacity well in excess of the old Ni Cd batteries used in the 1990s (three times more energy per kg or twice as much by unit of volume). While lending itself to tranquil driving, the Peugeot iOn is not lacking in character and performance. As soon as the need is apparent, use of the accelerator frees up available torque instantly for rapid, linear acceleration. Taking 3.5 seconds to go from 30km/h to 60km/h (compared to 3.9 secs in 3rd in a 207 1.6 litre THP) is evidence of this.

The Peugeot iOn motor is supplied with a 330 V three-phase alternating current (AC) from the inverter which is supplied with a 330 V direct current (DC) from the main battery pack. The inverter regulates the current, frequency and voltage according to the position of the accelerator pedal. The controlled response when the accelerator is pressed has been designed to ensure a good distribution of power when required.

The inverter, the motor and the reduction gearing provides a potential speed range from 0 to 130 kph. The single reduction gear provides an overall ratio of 6.066 in both forward and reverse gears. Reverse gear is obtained by reversing the direction of the motor�s operation. The Neodyme (Nd) synchronous permanent magnet electric motor is particularly compact. With a maximum power of 47 kW.h (64 bhp) it has a maximum torque of 180 Nm from 0 to 2000 rpm.

This range, which begins with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km with the new e-HDi system, will eventually include HYbrid4 technology with its potential of 147 kW (200 bhp) and 4 wheel drive, starting from just 99 g/km of CO2.

Porsche will offer a Powerkit for the Panamera Turbo, which will raise engine output by 40 hp to 540 hp. Moreover, a Sport Design Package and the new 20-inch Panamera Sport wheels will widen the individualization programme for the Gran Turismo range.

Key elements of this Panamera Turbo Powerkit are two new turbochargers with titanium aluminium turbine wheels. Engine management has been adapted accordingly and thus, the result is an appreciable further improvement of the engine�s response. Maximum torque rises to 750 Nm. If in overboost mode included in the Sport Chrono package which is available ex factory as part of the Panamera Turbo Powerkit, it goes up to 800 Nm. In Sport Plus mode, the Panamera Turbo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 sec � 0.1 sec faster than the production car. Top speed is 305 km/h compared with 303 km/h of the production vehicles. With 11.5 ltr/100 km (24.6 mpg imp) during the NEDC test cycle, fuel consumption of an Panamera Turbo with Powerkit is not higher than that of the 500 hp production model. This, too, is what Porsche Intelligent Performance means to Porsche. As a Porsche Exclusive option, the Powerkit is available from September 2010 at a price of Euro 16,695.70 including VAT. Porsche Tequipment will launch the Powerkit as a retrofit kit from November 2010.

With its new Sport Design Package, Porsche offers its Panamera customers another possibility to customize their cars optically. The package includes a unique, exterior colour painted front end with widened black air intake grilles, separate side skirts and the standard, exterior colour painted rear underbody apron with diffuser and fins.

Starting in October 2010, the Sport Design Package will be available from Porsche Exclusive, or for retrofitting from Porsche Tequipment. The price from Porsche Exclusive is Euro 4,581.50 including VAT. On request, side skirts can be supplied separately at a price of Euro 969.85 including VAT.

For an especially sporting performance with enhanced appearance and driving dynamics, the third feature of the extended range of options offered for the Panamera are the new 20-inch Panamera Sport wheels. The light alloy multi-spoke wheel is 9.5″ wide on the front axle, and 11.5″ on the rear axle. Thus, it does not only have a larger tyre contact area but is also flush with the wheel arch. The wheels are available from Porsche Exclusive in GT silver metallic, black, or in the car colour from Euro 1,588.65 including VAT, and from Porsche Tequipment in GT silver metallic and black for
retrofitting.

At 4.46 meters, the GTC Paris is the ideal size for a compact, sporty car, but it still offers room for five passengers. Most iconic cars have been drawn from the side. Many can be sketched with two or three sharp lines. So, too, with Opel�s new concept car: In profile, the designers have maximized tension by limiting the amount of lines in the GTC Paris. Similar to tendons in a sprinter, these lines create tension and provide a sculpted shape. They serve as the foundation to which the highlights and surfacing react and press to the wheels in a very athletic fashion.

The Opel signature blade is introduced in the same direction as first seen in the Insignia � a fine, tense crease along the rocker panel. A second line shoots from the door handle to the rear, emphasizing the vehicle�s dramatic stance by spreading the surfaces to a fine undercut and a broad shoulder. The third line following the silhouette of the roof is finished in finely brushed aluminum that accentuates the window graphic, guiding the eye to the sharply distinct integrated spoiler.

The front is clean yet full of character and features Opel�s typical centerline crease. It is further accented by intense, very slim eagle-eye shaped headlamps acting as parenthesis between the refined chrome emblem bar and the dramatic low trapezoidal grill which hints at its sporty character. Signature LED daytime running lights are outlined with finely crafted chrome inserts that can stand as a piece of sculpture by themselves.

The best of Opel�s compact car technology is brought to its sportiest level on the GTC Paris. The chassis has a special design with an extra-wide stance. It features a compound crank with an Opel-exclusive Watt�s link in the rear, a new, updated execution of the adaptive mechatronic FlexRide suspension and a front electronic limited slip differential. The GTC Paris is planted to the ground with dynamic 21-inch wheels.

The powertrain in the GTC Paris is a four-cylinder, 2.0 liter Turbo with direct injection, packing maximum horsepower and torque. Bentley�s acclaimed 6-litre, 12-cylinder, twin-turbocharged powertrain now has a raised power output of 575PS (567bhp/423kW) and 700Nm (516lb ft) of torque and this is mated to a new Quickshift transmission which enables double downshifts. Thanks to advanced FlexFuel technology it can also run on both standard unleaded petrol (gasoline) and sustainable bioethanol (up to E85) or any mix of the two.

In late 2011 an all-new, high-output 8-cylinder engine will also be available to order. This advanced power unit will deliver a 40 percent reduction in emissions compared with the W12 engine and will offer a class-leading CO2 emissions-to-power ratio with Bentley levels of performance and refinement.

You do need a player that is capable of playing RealMedia. The included Media Player Classic supports it and works very well. Supported: RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealMedia (.rm .ram .rmvb .rpx .smi .smil), RealText (.rt), ReadPix (.rp), RealMedia embedded in webpages. .smi and .smil files sometimes only play the first part of a clip. This is a limitation of the current Media Player Classic.

Stuttgart. Starting in September, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, will offer a Powerkit for the Panamera Turbo, which will raise engine output by 40 hp to 540 hp. Moreover, a Sport Design Package and the new 20-inch Panamera Sport wheels will widen the individualization programme for the Gran Turismo range.

Key elements of this Panamera Turbo Powerkit are two new turbochargers with titanium aluminium turbine wheels. Engine management has been adapted accordingly and thus, the result is an appreciable further improvement of the engine's response. Maximum torque rises to 750 Nm. If in overboost mode included in the Sport Chrono package which is available ex factory as part of the Panamera Turbo Powerkit, it goes up to 800 Nm. In Sport Plus mode, the Panamera Turbo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 sec � 0.1 sec faster than the production car. Top speed is 305 km/h compared with 303 km/h of the production vehicles. With 11.5 ltr/100 km (24.6 mpg imp) during the NEDC test cycle, fuel consumption of an Panamera Turbo with Powerkit is not higher than that of the 500 hp production model. This, too, is what Porsche Intelligent Performance means to Porsche. As a Porsche Exclusive option, the Powerkit is available from September 2010 at a price of Euro 16,695.70 including VAT. Porsche Tequipment will launch the Powerkit as a retrofit kit from November 2010.

With its new Sport Design Package, Porsche offers its Panamera customers another possibility to customize their cars optically. The package includes a unique, exterior colour painted front end with widened black air intake grilles, separate side skirts and the standard, exterior colour painted rear underbody apron with diffuser and fins.

Starting in October 2010, the Sport Design Package will be available from Porsche Exclusive, or for retrofitting from Porsche Tequipment. The price from Porsche Exclusive is Euro 4,581.50 including VAT. On request, side skirts can be supplied separately at a price of Euro 969.85 including VAT.

For an especially sporting performance with enhanced appearance and driving dynamics, the third feature of the extended range of options offered for the Panamera are the new 20-inch Panamera Sport wheels. The light alloy multi-spoke wheel is 9.5" wide on the front axle, and 11.5" on the rear axle. Thus, it does not only have a larger tyre contact area but is also flush with the wheel arch. The wheels are available from Porsche Exclusive in GT silver metallic, black, or in the car colour from Euro 1,588.65 including VAT, and from Porsche Tequipment in GT silver metallic and black for
retrofitting.

The Infiniti EX30d joins the EX37 V6 petrol models in Infiniti Centres across Europe from summer 2010 (depending on country). The sports coup�-inspired SUV is the second Infiniti to be powered by diesel. It inherits exactly the same 3.0-litre V6 piezo-injection engine as has been available in its big brother, the FX30d, since June 2010. In the form used in the EX and FX crossovers, the Alliance�s V9X V6 diesel is very much a bespoke Infiniti unit. It was developed by Infiniti to deliver more kilometres and lower carbon emissions than the brand�s petrol V6 while enhancing the high performance and refinement central to Infiniti�s luxury ethos.

The outputs are exceptional for the compact SUV class. The V6�s 175 kW (238 PS) maximum power equals the best available while its massive torque, of 550 Nm from just 1750rpm. Where the law allows, the Infiniti EX30d can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds and hit 221 km/h flat out.
